As the world's awareness of environmental protection increases, the production of paper cups has become the first choice for manufacturers to transformation. Because compared with other products, the production of paper cups is relatively simple and easy to use, but as a starter, they still encounter technical difficulties in the initial stage of production. Hereby, we are sharing some tips in the production process.
1. Environmental impact and storage precautions
1.1 Effect of ambient temperature and humidity on paper properties
Balanced moisture: When the paper is placed in the air, its moisture content will change with the temperature and humidity of the air. Under a certain temperature and humidity, the moisture content of the paper will not change, that is, the moisture absorption rate of the paper is equal to the dehumidification rate, and To maintain dynamic balance, the moisture content of the paper is called balance moisture; balance moisture directly affects various performance indicators of paper and post-processing use.
Factors affecting paper balance moisture:
(1) Absorbency of paper : especially high-bulk paper, due to its structural characteristics, is more sensitive to moisture changes, and water retention and moisture-proof measures should be taken;
(2) Relative humidity: The relative humidity of the place where paper is stored and used has a significant impact on the moisture content of the paper, and stable temperature and humidity conditions should be ensured in the place where the paper is stored and used;
(3) Ambient temperature: every time the ambient temperature increases or decreases by 1.5°C, the equilibrium moisture will decrease or increase by 0.5%. When printing overprinting, it is required that the moisture content of the paper does not exceed ±1%. Therefore, the temperature change in the printing workshop should not exceed ±3°C.
Before the paper leaves the factory, there are strict moisture control standards. The recommended temperature and humidity conditions are: 23±3°C, 50±5%. Using this condition can have better process suitability and higher product yield.
1.2 Precautions for paper storage
(1) The best environment temperature and humidity for paper storage and use: 23±3℃, 50±5%. Under these conditions, the process suitability of the paper reaches the best. Customers should pay attention to the stability of the ambient temperature and humidity in the paper storage and use places;
(2) Uncoated food cardboard is sensitive to the humidity of the environment, especially high-bulk paper. When the relative humidity is too low in autumn and winter (<40%, especially in winter), consideration should be given to humidifying storage places and production workshops;
(3) Coated paper rolls should be repacked with original kraft paper or stretch film, and then stored or sold to prevent paper moisture from being lost due to environmental changes, resulting in problems such as bursting and deformation during molding processing;
(4) The use of paper should follow the first-in-first-out principle, and the same production batch of paper should be used in the same batch of products as much as possible.
2. Environmental impact and storage precautions
2.1 Water pumping method and precautions of Fan-shaped piece
No.1 Direct water spray method operation points
Note that the fan-shaped sheets are stacked neatly and stacked as horizontally as possible to avoid sticking and paper damage caused by uneven watering;
Pay attention to the fineness of atomization, spray angle and time to prevent excessive or uneven water volume;
It is recommended that the two side corners of the curling position corresponding to the side seal be properly sprayed with water;
Pay attention to the cleaning of the spray device to prevent pollution.
suggestion:
(1) Use in spring, summer, autumn and high humidity environment;
(2) It is clean and hygienic, but there are certain requirements for the operator's water pumping skills, and a certain understanding of the characteristics of the paper is required.
No.2 Operation points of cover towel humidification method
1. Pay attention to the neat stacking of the fan-shaped sheets, and try to stack them horizontally to avoid adhesion and damage to the paper surface caused by uneven watering;
2. Pay attention to the moderate water content of the towel to prevent the water volume from being too large or uneven;
3. It is recommended that the two side corners of the curling position corresponding to the side seal should also be properly wiped with water;
4. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the towel to prevent pollution.
suggestion:
It is recommended to use it in winter and when the ambient humidity is low;
It can reduce the frequency of fetching water and reduce the labor intensity of workers.
illustrate:
(1) Before the mouth cup/noodle bowl is formed on the machine, the curling position of the fan-shaped piece must be treated with water to enhance the curling suitability;
(2) The principle of multiple times, appropriate amount and uniformity should be followed to ensure the effect and yield of curling;
(3) According to different operating habits, the conventional way of fetching water is divided into two types: the method of wiping water with a towel and the method of direct water spraying;
(4) Different brands and different production batches of paper will have different water fetching time, and the initial production should pay attention to exploring the water fetching time;
(5) When the humidity of the production environment is lower than the recommended humidity (especially in winter), it is recommended to use warm water to humidify the paper.

2. Cover towel humidification method, it is recommended to wipe the corners of the water first.
