  1. Food-Grade Material: Cupstock paper is made from virgin wood pulp or a combination of wood pulp and recycled fibers, ensuring it meets food safety regulations and is suitable for direct contact with food and beverages.

  2. PE Coating: Cupstock paper is typically coated with a thin layer of polyethylene (PE) on one or both sides. This PE coating provides moisture resistance and prevents the paper from absorbing liquids, ensuring the structural integrity of the paper cups during use, also there is - EPP or OPB material

  3. Heat Resistance: Cupstock paper is engineered to withstand the heat generated during the hot beverage filling process, such as filling with hot coffee or tea. The PE coating helps to retain the heat within the cup and prevents the paper from deforming or becoming soggy.

  4. Printability: Cupstock paper provides an excellent surface for high-quality printing, allowing for vibrant graphics, branding, and messaging to be applied to the paper cups. The smooth and uniform surface of the paperboard ensures crisp and clear printing results.

  5. Formability: Cupstock paper is designed to be easily formable into various cup shapes and sizes using paper cup forming machines. It maintains its structural integrity and shape during the forming process, resulting in well-formed and sturdy paper cups.

  6. Thickness and Weight: Cupstock paper is available in various thicknesses and weights to meet different packaging requirements. Thicker paperboard provides greater rigidity and insulation, while lighter-weight options are suitable for smaller cups and cold beverages.

Environmental Considerations: Some cupstock paper products are manufactured using sustainable practices and may be certified by organizations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). Additionally, advancements in technology have led to the development of compostable and biodegradable coatings for cupstock paper, enhancing its environmental profile.
